Tracker collects no personal data. Where you parked stays on your phone.
The same policy covers both apps. Where iPhone and Android genuinely differ, both are spelled out rather than glossed over.
What we collect
Nothing. Tracker has no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers and no crash reporting. There is no third-party code in the app, and no account.
Where your parking spot is kept
On your phone. The location, the level, your note and your photo are stored on the device and shared with the widgets. We have no copy and no server. Clearing the spot removes it, and deleting the app removes all of it.
Location
Tracker uses your location to record where you parked and to measure how far you are from it. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your phone’s settings, and the app keeps working — you save the spot with a button instead.
Background location — iPhone only
Automatic saving needs background location, because the moment that matters is when you are getting out of the car rather than looking at your phone. It does not record your route and keeps no history of where you have been. It is optional and off until you turn it on.

- Location set to Always. Tracker uses significant-change monitoring, not continuous GPS.
- On Android.
- Not used at all. The Android app has no automatic saving and never asks for background location — it reads your position only while you are using it.
Motion — iPhone only
On iPhone, automatic saving reads your activity to tell driving from walking. It reads the activity type only — never a step count, a workout or a health record. This is optional and stays on your device. The Android app does not request it.
Bluetooth — iPhone only
On iPhone, your car stereo disconnecting is the clearest sign that you have parked, so automatic saving watches for it. Tracker reads only that an audio device disconnected. It never scans for nearby devices and never uses Bluetooth for location. The Android app does not request Bluetooth at all.
Camera and photos
You can attach a photo of the bay. It is taken by you, stored in the app’s own storage on the device, and shown only to you. Tracker does not read your photo library beyond the image you pick, and no photo is ever uploaded.
Notifications
Notifications are scheduled by the app and delivered by your phone on the same device. There is no push server, so no notification passes through us.
Reminders and exact alarms
A parking meter warning is worthless if it drifts, so on Android Tracker asks permission to schedule an exact alarm. It is used only to fire your own meter reminder at the time you chose. If you refuse it, the reminder still arrives but may be late.
Maps, addresses and directions
The distance to your car and the compass arrow are calculated on the device and work with no signal at all. The map, the street name and directions need one, and they come from the platform’s own maps service, which receives the coordinates involved under its own privacy policy. We receive nothing.
- On iPhone.
- Apple Maps. Apple receives those coordinates, and the walking route is drawn inside the app.
- On Android.
- Google Maps. Google receives those coordinates. Directions open in whichever maps app you have, and that app then handles the journey.
Backups
Your phone’s own backup can include Tracker’s data, so that your car, its level and your note survive a new phone. That is your operating system backing up your device to your account, not us collecting anything: we have no server and never see it. You can exclude Tracker in your phone’s backup settings.

- iCloud Backup includes the app’s data, photos included.
- On Android.
- Backup to Google Drive includes your saved spots and settings. Photos are deliberately left out, because Android caps an app backup at about 25 MB and abandons the whole thing once it is exceeded. A direct phone-to-phone transfer does carry the photos.
Purchases
Tracker is bought once. There are no purchases inside the app, no subscription and no advertising. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google, who never give us your payment details — we see only aggregate sales figures, which identify nobody.
Children
Tracker collects no data from anyone, at any age. It is rated 4+ on the App Store and suitable for all ages on Google Play.
Your rights
Data-protection law gives you rights of access, correction, export and erasure. They are simple to satisfy here: everything Tracker holds about you is already on your own phone, and nothing has been sent to us. Clearing a spot or deleting the app erases all of it, immediately and completely. There is nothing for us to look up, because we hold nothing.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
